Alan has worked for Presbyterian Support Central in IT for over 15 years. During the last two years, he has managed the selection and implementation of Laserfiche across 23 locations in the central region of New Zealand, and he is now involved in the implementation of Laserfiche Forms across the organization.
Amy has worked in the financial services industry since 1998. Prior to joining Rehmann, she worked with State First Consulting in Lansing, Michigan. She has extensive experience in management and business development. In her current role, she oversees the daily operations of Rehmann Financial including supervising support staff, providing training on systems and processes, managing technology, assisting with mergers and on boarding and acting as a liaison between Rehmann Financial and their parent firm.
“Amy has worked for the Hanover County Commissioner of the Revenue since 1992 and has co-lead the Virginia Laserfiche User Group since 2009. In 2014, she was honored with the Margaret Anderson Deputy of the Year Award. She loves finding ways for Laserfiche to help her office be more efficient.”
“Bekah has worked for County of Franklin, PA in IT for 11 years. She specializes in technical support of all county human service departments. Bekah develops custom solutions throughout the county government to assist in increasing efficiencies and minimizing manual processing.”
Ben Birns has been an ECM junkie since 1997. He is passionate about how the right technology used in the right way can simplify and destress our daily lives.The software may not start a journey, but getting into the right bit of it will make for an enjoyable ride. So, let’s migrate!
Brett Scott started his career working for the Alabama Department of Transportation where he initiated the practice of importing survey information from the field into CAD software in the office. He also worked for the Administrative Office of Courts, where he developed a database for alternative DUI sentencing programs. He currently serves as the Division Director of IT at the Alabama Real Estate Commission. This division provides team members, real estate companies, licensees, and consumers with a unified information technology system that provides timely and accurate information and services.
“Camille has worked for the Lebanese American University for II years where he
provides leadership for implementing IT initiatives that are aligned with LAU’s
mission. He works closely with LAU’s academic, medical and administrative
executives to determine and plan their technology needs as well as implementing
relevant innovative solutions.”
Doug Haubert has over 18 years of experience as a civil and criminal prosecutor and was elected Long Beach City Prosecutor in 2010, and re-elected in 2014. Doug started the City’s Gang Prevention Strategy, a three-part approach to reducing gang violence that was recognized in 2012 by Neighborhoods USA as one of America’s “Best Neighborhood Programs.” Using technology to suppress gang activity, while also assisting former gang members with social services, Haubert’s Gang Prevention Strategy has been called a “model” for other cities, and “the most effective and innovative gang prevention strategy in use today,” by Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell. City Prosecutor Haubert also created the Parent Accountability and Chronic Truancy (PACT) program to prevent youth from joining gangs. Haubert is also recognized as a national leader in court diversion programs.
Alan Karasin has been the Senior Network Administrator for he City of Ithaca since 2001. He is in charge of overseeing the city’s network, security and server infrastructure. Since 2014 a large part of his focus has shifted to mapping and automating business processes with the Laserfiche Rio suite, including repository design, Forms development and integrated Workflow services.
Beverly Strickland has worked for the NC Division of Water Resources for more than 20 years, where she has been a driving force in moving from a paper-based system to providing online access to millions of records. She holds a degree in business administration from Meredith College and has twice been named outstanding employee of the year.
Bill Jobes is the President and Executive IT Consultant for Jobes Technology Solutions and is contracted with the Oakland County Department of Information Technology. As Program Manager for the Countywide Document Management System at Oakland County, he oversees the program budget, projects, and user-driven imaging steering committee.
A Minnesota native, Carl Hunter has been working in local government to create solutions with the Laserfiche suite for 3 years and working as an administrator for 2. His favorite part of using Laserfiche is when the business user turns from a skeptic to a proselytizer after their first solution goes live.
Chad Christensen, CPA, is the Chief Compliance Officer of Semper Augustus Group LLC. He has overseen the daily operations of the firm since co-founding it in 1998. Chad works with staff and outside consultants to develop and document the internal control environment, manage technology and manage projects.
Dave Covert has worked in the Technology Department with Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 for almost 30 years. In the past 4 years he has used Laserfiche to dramatically improve efficiency and productivity within the district by using Forms and Workflow to benefit all patrons and employees.
David has worked for Intertrust Group in IT for almost 5 years. During his time, he rolled out Laserfiche to all of Intertrust Group offices worldwide and trained almost 2,000 people. Intertrust Group also integrated Laserfiche with other Applications that Intertrust use and which they work in conjunction with LF Workflow.
Ed Yonker has been working in the public sector for 12 years. Prior to that, he spent 30 years in banking, managing a document imaging solution since the late 1980s. He has been an integral part of developing solutions to meet the county’s “going digital” goals using Laserfiche ECM solutions.
Kerri Garbis is the President and co-founder of Ovation Communication. A professional actress since childhood, her company helps business professionals master the art of human interaction through transformative presentation skills, storytelling and emotional intelligence training. She is also a published author—her first book is titled Presentation Skills for Managers.
